Taliesin Preservation of Spring Green, WI is looking to hire a full-time Communication Coordinator to work alongside our Communication Manager to raise public awareness of our organization through online and offline channels. As stewards of the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center, our dual mission is to preserve the cultural, built, and natural environments that comprise the Taliesin property and to conduct educational and cultural programs that provide a greater understanding of his architecture and ideas. We are different from other historic sites because we are not satisfied with just being a museum. We want the estate to stay filled with life.

We are a small organization and, as such, we offer a lot of flexibility and opportunity for people to develop within their areas of interest--and we are invested in their success!


As a Communication Coordinator, you get the opportunity to wear many different hats, all with the specific goal to increase awareness of our organization and tell the story of our mission at work. You get to help develop inspiring and engaging communication in a variety of different mediums. You get to tell the story of the principles of Wright's vision through the integration of farming, gardening, and cooking as a celebration of a beautiful way of living.

In season, you also document Taliesin activities by attending events, tours and programming to capture images and interview staff and participants. Blog about our Food Artisan Immersion Program ... photograph guests enjoying the estate ... video youth camper presentations ... you will be involved in it all. You'll coordinate communication initiatives while bringing new and creative ideas to our organization. You help maintain the relationships that are essential to our success.

During the off-season, when the tours shut down, you have an opportunity to focus on strategic development. You also assist with the planning for the new season by sharing your creativity and passion.


* 1-2 years of communications experience in either a work or education environment * Ability to write strategic content * Computer proficiency including social media platforms, website management, word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and report production * Passion for story telling

This position has a 32 hour per week schedule. In season, we are a seven-day-a-week operation, and there is room to flex your schedule. Out of season, we have very flexible office hours.
